XC NCAA's - men place 13th, women 28th; 3 take All American honors

Men's Cross Country Finishes 13th at NCAAs; Women Place 28th

The 14th-ranked (USTFCCCA) Georgetown men's cross country team finished 13th overall in the 30-team field today at the NCAA Championships hosted by Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. The women's team, ranked 18th by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association finished 28th overall of 31 schools.

The men's overall race was won by Oregon with 85 points followed by Iona (113), Oklahoma State (1800), Northern Arizona (180), Wisconsin (239), Alabama (280), Colorado (287), Minnesota (322), Louisville (324), UTEp (331), Cal-Poly (367), Virginia (374), Georgetown (398), Portland (424) with William & Mary rounding out the top 15 with 432 points.

On the women's side, Stanford won the team race with 145 points followed by Oregon (177), Florida State (236), Arizona State (251), Michigan State (321), Illinois (331), Northern Arizona (357), Washington (358), West Virginia (375), Iowa (387), Florida (391), Minnesota (393), Arkansas (406), Princeton (409) and Colorado State (410) to round out the top 15. Georgetown finished in 28th with a score of 520, just two sports behind BIG EAST opponent Providence, who placed 26th with a score of 491.
